蜘蛛侠

Just caught Spidey in the cinemas today! Haha I really like watching movies alone at a relatively empty cinema (except when it's a comedy cuz it'll be awk laughing alone LOL) ^^ But please still ask me out to catch a movie okay~

The thing about watching these kind of 'kiddy' (or so we thought) shows is that as we get older, each time we watch it we realise the greater meaning behind these shows. Sorry even though I watch Marvel shows, I don't read the comic so what I'm commenting on here is merely on the movie itself, coming from a regular audience.

Anyway, one message brought across in the movie is that everyone has their own story; there is always a reason as to why someone turns out the way he is. *SPOILER ALERT* Take Electro for example. He became the badass you see because he felt indignant that no one cared for or acknowledged him and wanted the world to experience what his world was like being powerless. He wasn't a bad guy in nature. And I felt kinda sad that all he thought about when he was caught on the screens during his first encounter (as electro, not Max) with Spidey was that the people were finally looking at him. Poor dude. Now let's look at Harry. For him, I would say it's his fear of abandonment/betrayal, since his father 'abandoned' him by sending him abroad when he was young. So when Spidey refused to give his blood to him, which could potentially cost him his life either way since he was dying soon anyway, it became a form of betrayal to him cuz it seemed as though Spidey did not want to save him. Then yada yada yada and he became the green goblin. (Btw I thought that Harry was defeated way too simply in the movie >.>)

There's always a story behind everything. So before we judge or criticise others, let's put in the effort to have greater understanding of things first. Easier said than done, but yeah let's just do it!

Looking forward to my next solo movie session heeeeeeee ^^
