Exciteddddd

1 more day to hong kong!!!

-

Yesterday went for MT with kaining as usual and my arms are aching once again haha though not as bad as the first time. My instructor is too cute can haha he kept making fun of me and we took a picture together (but it's not with me)! Although he cannot really speak English since he's a Thai, I still managed to figure out what he was trying to say somehow from his hand actions :p Oh and he must be judging me for my slow reaction because I'm always too lag to block his kicks HAHA. And idk why but I just can't seem to kick properly on the left side, as in my hips can't seem to turn to the right???

To my very first (and currently still is my) favourite singer:

Happy birthday to you~

It's been 5.5 years and counting :) really hope to be able to go for her concert in the future, but will have to fly over just for it haha cuz I doubt she'll ever hold a concert overseas...

Self-delusional

Realised that I have been only blogging on Saturdays haha. The rest of my week is rather mundane apart from Muay Thai and meet-ups with groups of peeps.

Anyway, I ended up extending my work till end May. Previously I mentioned I would be working only till end April right? It turns out that my supervisor did not update my intended last day and so it was left as 'indefinite', which was what she decided for me the very first time she asked me ._. Somehow or rather, it seems that it is fated for me to stay on haha because if my intended last day was end April or May, I would have been asked to leave (like many of the other people) and last Thursday would have been my last day. Yep basically they fired those who could not commit. It's like throwing them away after making use of them once the peak period is over. But I guess that's just how practical and cruel the real world is. Ah but I just received an sms this morning telling me to report to work at 8am on 28/04, and usually they will sms us our reporting time for the entire week instead of just a day. Hahaha maybe I should prepare my resignation letter first... It's perfectly fine though, no more work lor. There's so many other things to do :)

Met up with some of the 38 girls on Friday! It was cool how comfortable it felt being around them even though we were not and are not that close. I didn't speak much as usual that day but it was nice just hanging out with them~ I guess I only talk more in my closer group of friends :p

And I don't like my new house sigh... With the bus stop right outside, it's too noisy and the air too polluted. Not to mention it seems far from everywhere. But I do like the big glass windows! Other than that, I need a quieter environment to live and relax in.

Shall go sleep now, gonna go for a walk with my mum (the doctor told her to exercise more lol) tmr morning. Ahh but I suddenly feel like listening to some music/radio as I go to bed haha it's been a while~ Goodnights!

OH YEAH AND IT'S LESS THAN A WEEK TO HK TRIP!!!

Ended up feeling melancholic tonight for no particular reason. At times like this I just want to escape to somewhere, but as to where I have no idea. I don't even feel like going to cdac tmr...if not because I'm responsible for tmr's activity. Why why why.

Hi Madam

Really glad I do not have to deal with such annoying problems :p Ok actually there's this one person, but he's not as persistant and has not cross the line yet so I'm still fine with it~

Anyway, I've come to really like my colleagues these days haha I feel super comfortable around them and can just be myself. This is quite rare because I usually take at least a year (?!) to feel comfortable towards a group of people as I probably have mentioned before. I guess this is a good improvement :) Good to let people know the real me even if I'm socially awkward and weird haha.

Just a while ago before I started on this post, I looked at today's date and realise that I'm left with only 2 weeks to my intended last day of work. Now I'm have seconds thoughts on whether or not to stay on... More than anything else, if I end up staying beyond April, it would be because of the people. Besides my colleagues, the supervisors (well, most of them at least) are really nice and helpful too. Feel super grateful whenever they go to great lengths to help us with our cases :) Maybe they're obliged to do so but still... That's why they can survive in the customer service sector.

Okay and maybe because after working for close to two months, I'm more accustomed to this job and it seems easier than it was at the start. Like how I had thought so from the beginning, for such a job you need experience and not just know the theory. Then again, from May onwards, majority of calls would be on payment matters, which is terrible with all the annoying giro giro giro. And anything related to payment or money in life often only spells trouble. Plus, you have to deal with all the shit from the wrong advice given by the bulk of the temp staff who would have left by then (oops that would include me HAHA). If today we give someone the wrong advice, they'll call in again afterwards to hunt us down and just scold the unlucky person who picked up his call, who is unlikely to be the person who wrongly advised him.

Anyway, my third last call for today was unpleasant thanks to this caller who asked about cpf related matters. She wanted to know about the difference between the cpf schemes and after I tried to explain to her and told her to call up cpf board instead to know more about it (this is not under our side), she refused to and wanted to speak to another officer and said I didn't seem to know much about it (well yeah I don't LOL). Okay fine I got my supervisor to speak to her, who told her roughly the same stuff. Then while he was doing a check for her, she HUNG UP. Seriously madam.

All right that sums up my recent work life for now haha. Let's see if I decide to stay on or not! Have a good weekend guys~

Took the day off on Friday for the tea session at Keppel.

They brought us to the various arms of the organisation, so we had the chance to  board a yatch (like wow never thought I would have the chance to do so in my entire life haha), visit the waste incinerator, get a free mini Magnum :D, and go up close to the oil rigs. The industry is really male-dominated and apparently very tough especially for the offshore and marine. But chemical engineering would be most applicable for Infrastructure la, so was quite disappointing that they only brought us to the waste-to-energy plant and not the gas-to-energy one which I'm more interested in :p

Anyway, the 8-hour long session ended with a group discussion on a product that can help improve or benefit Keppel in the relevant industries. Honestly, i felt that groups of 10 were too big for efficient discussions, so it ended up with everyone snatching the chance to speak (especially since there were people assessing us from the side -.-). I usually don't like to speak when there are so many people talking at a time because it just gets too noisy and whatnot. So I was quite quiet I guess lol which puts me in a rather bad light. But I really do not see the point of so many people talking at a time. It's like everyone is trying to be the leader, but for there to be a leader, there must be a follower also right? Yep so it's not surprising if I don't get called for the interview. Anyway Keppel seems like a good company to work for that treats its staff well (other than the crazy working hours) and the people there really seem like a family :) And kudos to those who are working under such harsh conditions yet still remain passionate about their job!

Oh and yesterday's outing for dinner at Swee Choon was fun with great food, awesome people with bloated stomachs and the double/triple/self-whammies XD And thanks for the musical box I love it hehe. Wooooooodd <3
